HO MASTER SILVER ALP-45DP / MULTI-LEVEL SET NJ TRANSIT [ALP-45DP #4505, CAB CAR #7049, TRAILER #7645]
The Bombardier ALP-45DP locomotives began entering service with NJ TRANSIT in 2012. These dual-power locomotives were designed to operate on both electrified and non-electrified tracks, providing greater flexibility for NJ TRANSIT's operations. They remain in use today across NJ TRANSIT's commuter rail network.
Joining the lineup are NJ TRANSIT’s Multilevel Coaches—trailblazers in passenger comfort and accessibility. Often mistaken for "double-deckers," these cars boast an innovative third intermediate level, designed to reduce boarding times and enhance the travel experience for all riders, including ADA customers. First introduced in 2006 and soon to evolve into self-powered Multilevel IIIs, these coaches are a testament to progress in passenger rail.
Thanks to Atlas Model Railroad Company, you can now run your own NJ TRANSIT train at home! This set includes HO scale models of ALP-45DP 4505, Multilevel Coach Car 7645, and Multilevel Cab Control Car 7049.
